Halifax Reward bonus interest 0.2% not paid

Advice needed.
In April and May 2012 I received letters explaining an oversight in the payment of the Reward bonus interest for several accounts, each letter indicated the amount owed and stating it would be paid in the next annual round of interest payments. Late last year I checked the accounts (one I had closed) and could see no evidence of the bonus payments.
I sent a letter in October querring the payments, but was sent tax certificates and no explanation. In December I sent H another letter with my previous letter and copies of letters from April and May 2012. No reply has been received.
Has anyone experienced anything similar, am I the only one to have not received the bonus interest on savings accounts?
Should I just complain?

I queried this with Halifax before I closed the account and they fobbed me off. It was only about £12.00 in interest.

Yes. Make it a formal complaint.

Exactly the same happened to me, I queried in branch as the extra 0.2% hadn't been applied to my normal savings accounts, only my ISA.

They told me in branch that it only applied to ISAs, this document online would appear to contradict that:

Savings products included in 'Rewards' are: Halifax Guaranteed Saver, Halifax ISA Saver Direct,

Premium Savings Direct, Halifax Monthly Saver, Halifax Liquid Gold, Halifax Extra Income Saver, and Bank of Scotland Instant Access Savings Account.

Thanks all. I'm beginning to think this is the tip of the iceberg.

deutsch - £12 is a small but useful sum. I'm owed small amounts too, but enough to do my weekly reductions shop.
I've completed the online complaints form (didn't know there was an online option until yesterday). I missed a call this morning so will ask them to call me again.

Just wondering whether this is a case for Moneybox or similar?

and not according to the letters I received.

    Interesting.

I had a Halifax Web Saver Reward account (2.6%?) which paid an extra 0.2% if certain conditions were met (can't remember what they were) however I was concerned there was no indication on-line that I had met the conditions. After a month I decided I didn't want to wait until the annual interest was paid only to discover the bonus wasn't included. I transferred the money to another, slightly inferior, account.

    Seems my instinct was right!

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

I received two 'phone calls from Halifax yesterday.
The first stated that the bonus had been paid in may 2012 with the rest of the interest accrued. I said I couldn't see that was the case, but if they could send me the information in writing I would cross check. I mentioned that others had reported non-payment on this website.

A few hours later, the same person called claiming they had looked again at my letter and that the confusion stemmed from the letters mistakenly referring to the next interest round when the bonus had been paid in the last. As the confusion was caused by themselves, they offered me £50 compensation and asked about any call charges etc I incurred. I accepted the compensation, but re-stated the need for the details in writing.

I need to check my data/statements again. However, I kept thinking whilst listening to the caller that it is a plausible, but a convenient explanation.
