Hi all hope you can help!
Forms filled in and handed to court along with fee first week of January but I still haven't received notice of the petition being sent.
Is a month delay normal?

Certainly not in my case as my husband received the papers just two days later. Has your cheque been cashed and did you get a receipt when you handed in the petition?0

Yes money has been paid and receipt given. Hmmm i'm a bit worried now.0

Call the court and check.
Mine had around a 6 week back log throughout the earlier parts of our process. We submitted the papers in August and didn't get to Nisi stage until December. They were pretty quick after that, as soon as I submitted the application for the absolute we had it within a week.0 -
So i called and the clerk said the judge has heard the case and paperwork is sent. What does that mean?
Very confused now0 -
Has your ex replied to the petition yet?
Case heard might mean that the decree Nisi has been granted, however you should have received a copy of your ex's response and a letter stating the date for your Nisi to be heard. It would be odd for them not to have informed you of these steps.
Maybe the clerk means the paperwork has been sent to your ex for them to do their bit.0
