Reclaiming Mortgage PPI?

Hi,

We have a mortgage with Nationwide. I have been going through some paperwork and apparently, we chose Mortgage PPI when we took this mortgage out in 2003. Unfortunately, I really don't remember. I do remember sorting our life insurances and critical illness etc.

The first year was free, and then we have a couple of MPPI schedules for 2004-2005 showing £504 for the premium for myself, and £278 for my husband. And again for 2005-2006, £545 for me and £319 for my husband. It then appears to just stop.

Does this sound right?

Many thanks.

I've come across this, they added on the annual premium but its then spread over the year with your monthly mortgage payments. It incurs no interest and is not single premium PPI. If it stopped its probably because you either cancelled it or they switched it to just a regular direct debit payment (seperate from mortgage), if so it would appear on bank statemens.

There's nothing wrong with having PPI on your mortgage.

Nothing you have said sounds wrong. It would stop if you asked them to stop it.
