natural shampoo and conditioner?

Options
I'm trying to use more natural products on my body - less chemicals.

Also aim for buav approved - not tested on animals. I'm not 100% there yet with cosmetic : cleaning stuff, but getting there.

Any ideas?

Plenty of natural products out there, some more natural than others and some pretty pricey liked JASON products. As far as BUAV approved all Superdrug own brand products are BUAV approved. I really don't know why they don't use it as a USP and shout it off the rooftops :D

I know! If it was used as an advertisement it might encourage other companies to follow.

Marks and Spencers is buav approved too. Love their laundry and cleaning products!

Could try Dr Organic range which includes shampoo and conditioner, Holland and Barrett sell it. Has natural organic ingredients and no animal testing (suitable for veggies/vegans). Using the Argan Oil one now and it's really nice to use with a lovely fragrance, they do other varieties - coconut oil, manuka honey, aloe vera and rose otto.

    Hi

Some eco stores have a great range, I've used Big Green Smile & Ethical Superstore recently. I have tried Faith in Nature & also Green People Unscented shampoo. They're both good, although personally I prefer the Green People one.

Another vote for the Green People unscented shampoo :) It doesn't make your hair oily like some of the natural shampoos can. I think they do a conditioner, too, but I haven't tried it. The cheapest place to get Green People products seems to be amazon.

I currently have the Green People Unscented conditioner and I, like it, not as much as the shampoo though. It's a fairly lightweight conditioner and I don't find it enough to help fight the frizz, but it's adequate for me and I'll use something heavier once a week. I would definitely get the shampoo & also their unscented shower gel again, but probably try another conditioner

I use Big Green Smile quite regularly and would really recommend them - really fast delivery. I like the Faith in Nature Chocolate shampoo, and the Jason apricot shampoo and conditioner. I'd also really recommend the Jason shower gel - it's about £8 a bottle but the bottle is enormous and comes with a pump, so it lasts for absolutely ages. I like the apricot scent, and the herb one.

I just found an organic shampoo from Timotei (0 parabens and 0 silicons) in Poundland, cheapest I've found so far and good results!! . Not sure if they have the conditioner too but I will check.

I tried this but didn't rate it - it's a shame as it's hard to find natural shampoos on the high street. I tried the Brazil nut one and just found it really, really drying, and not nice at all.
