how to get CREDIT out of npower now?
Hello,
There is currently £427.15 in CREDIT in my npower account - I use a hell of a lot less electricity/gas then I am paying and in December i moved to the 2 year fixed (think it is until April 2015...or 2016?).
Anyway - instead of npower whipping the interest off my money how do I get this back? My next bill is not until until 2nd June and really would need the money now if possible.
I give meter reading at the start of every month so this is accurate.
Thanks!

Ring them with a meter read and ask for a refund of any credit. It should be as simple as that, but it isn't always, you need to try it and see what happens.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080

I had the same thing a year or so ago, I ran up a £750 credit and requested a refund. It was an absolute nightmare, I was constantly misled and straight-up lied to by the phone agents who advised they would "escalate the matter" and ensure it was paid the next day. Overall, it took about four months to sort this out, and only once I emailed executive complaints, the guardian, the observer, et al did I get a reply.
In short, get on to them straight away and don't be afraid to escalate it yourself. I'm going through the same thing now trying to get my final bill. They're so busy they've closed their phone lines!0
