Some of you are so judgmental. You're also forgetting that the mother would only get the 15 weeks on IS too. How convenient.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Perhaps we should make this the normal so working fathers can bond with their newborn.
Since when was it necessary for fathers to take this length of time to 'bond'?
I 'bonded' after 6pm every night when I came home from work, during the night and all of the weekend!
Next thing I will hear is that fathers will be offered hormone therapy so that they could breast feed their child and give mum a bit of time off!!!

How nice that this is given as an option for partners who don't work when those who do are lucky to get 2 weeks off....
It wasn't that many years ago, that fathers' had to use their holidays if they wanted time off when the baby was born.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

You could go fishing, or golfing. I would have lived 15 weeks paternity as I'd have had my house decorated and could find enough jobs so that he didn't need to take precious annual leave to wait in for a carpet delivery. Think of the fishing...Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -
