  • Thanks to you all for your input. I contacted them this morning asking for a fax number to send cancellation letter but they said they didn't have one so I told him he would have to accept an email in lieu of this. I emailed him and have sent copies of everything via special delivery and have already rece email back confirming our order is cancelled as of today. I've instructed hubby not to answer his phone to anyone and am hoping they realized we weren't as daft as they thought and might leave us alone!

    Thanks again

Well done Shell-bell, advise your husband not to buy anything over the phone especially from unsolicited calls - I know that when I started out I was targeted by similar companies offering advertising in fictitious magazines, newspapers, calendars etc - when I said no I often ended up with a mouthful of abuse - I took a note of all their numbers and reported them to Ofcom, I never heard from them again.

I'm hoping that I've heard the last of it. Their email simply stated that the order is cancelled as of today, no mention of any fees or outstanding invoices so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I also reported them to Trading Standards.
I've had strong words with my husband and he is no longer allowed to speak to anyone on the phone, except me!! :rotfl:

They might harass you for a long time as that is a common tactic. They may even send you a letter purporting to threaten legal action.

You cannot reason with them so don't waste your time. Don't pay, don't talk to them. Ignore them and they will eventually go away.
