CPP reclaim from HSBC

I have received a letter from CPP about compensation for card protection. I phone - they were extrenely helpful & explained my policy had been with them only from 2005 - before that it had been with HSBC. HSBC on the other hand are so unhelpful - nothing on their website; I went into the bank and no staff knew how to advise other than that i should write in (anyone would think they don't want people to claim!). Now HSBC have written to me and I have to complete a form to register a claim. The form asks, amongst other things, "why you are unhappy with this policy". All I know is that I understand this form of protection was unncessary as banks provided such cover anyway with the card but I am concerned that if I use the wrong form of words, I may jeopardise my claim. Does anypne have any advice? Has anyone else dealt (satisfactorily) with HSBC on this?
