bought a jvc camcorder from makro glasgow in oct 06. Found a fault after 3 weeks returned cam, tried for refund only got a repair.
now the cam is faulty again, won't work, get error e02 (search on google seems common fault.)
How can i get a refund? Is it true as a wholesaler makro are not obliged to refund my money.
Any advice apreciated, thanks.

Unless they've changed their policy then no. We've had refunds from Makro but they do seem to be getting a bit more fussy than they used to be. The most recent item we returned was a Philips steam generator iron and the cable that connects into the iron part came adrift exposing wires underneath. Obviously very easy to show the fault in this case and a replacement was obtained with no problem.
We also had cause to return a Lexmark printer which wouldn't take in A5 paper, continually jamming up with this size. They offered us a replacement but we requested a refund as we said we didn't have much faith in that model. Got the refund, no problem.
Not sure how you'll get on now that your camera is 9 months old.0 -
I have never had a problem at Makro, it is still under the manufacturers warranty - but I would have INSISTED in the politest!! way that after ONLY 3 weeks that a repair was not correct and for me the right way to go - take it back - and tell them it is not of MERCHANTABLE quality under the SALE OF GOODS ACT - dont forget that they sell direct to the trade that if you were trying to sell the same item as a retailer having purchased it from them for that purpose, it would be YOUR problem as the retailer to sort it out with YOUR customer0

sale of goods act doesn't apply in the same way for sales to businesses and besides under the sale of goods act the seller only has to provide a repair or replacement (their option)0
