Comparison site; wrong info
I have just used the Eastern European rodent based comparison site to compare my bills.
They indicated a significant saving over my current provider. When i checked the details they were using for my provider they were way out; sixty quid over on combined the service charges and wrong trrifs.
Is this sort of inaccuracy commonplace?

No, if you feed the comp sites accurate info then they give accurate results.
Firstly, you must use your annual kWh figures, not monthly DD spend.
Secondly, if your current tariff ends within the 12m projection, the site engine has to make assumptions about what your tariff will be for the rest of the term, and so usually will assume Standard term for that period.
remember that the comp site is projecting forward 12m, not looking back 12m.
Failing that, are you comparing like for like (i,e. including VAT, DD discounts, etc)?No free lunch, and no free laptop
