1) Leave it to complete and then choose F1 to reboot.
2) Boot into the BIOS Setup screen by pressing F1 at start up and choose to set to Optimised Defaults.
I have created bootable USB but as you said this is a process that can go wrong I just wanted to check something.
Does the USB remain in at step 2 ?0 -

not sure where I went wrong , it didn't like flash.bat
just came up with this screen0 -
That's because the flash.bat file contains an error.
From Windows, plug the USB stick in. Look for the FLASH.BAT file, then right click it and choose Edit from the menu. The file should now open in notepad, revealing the following:AFU865 683F1P52.bin /py /sn / wb / cc /cd /cp
I've underlined the problem - there are a spaces between some of the switches. This is how it should look and what it should be changed to:AFU865 683F1P52.bin /py /sn /wb /cc /cd /cp
Obviously after making those changes, save the file and try again.0 -
Doesn't appear that you have entered anything.
Actually there does not need to be any spaces between the switches.
AFU865 683F1P52.bin /py/sn/cc/cd/cp/wb exactly as written should work.
You can enter it manually at the bottom of the page you have shown.
Look here
You can also edit the Flash.bat file to the same format as above and then run Flash.bat instead. You can leave them in the same order, just format as above.
So two choices; Enter manually or use Flash.bat0 -
Went out for dinner but it wasn't enough. So going for a late supper. Hope it's all done by the time I'm back.0

Thanks poppellerant
That worked. I should have worked it my myself if I had taken the time to look at contents of file and read the syntax example on the screen.
Before reading NiftyDigits message above I worked out that it was easiest to just use Dos command Type and then I had it in front of me to re- enter correctly.
ND - hope you enjoyed your supper.0 -
