Barclays - PPI

Dear All

I hope someone can help.

My dad had ppi of £10K returned back to him :j last year June. Unfortunately his financial situation has changed and he has just started a dmp with StepChange (who have been wonderful). At the weekend we received a statement from Barclays which stated that he owed £13K - they had added the £10K back that he had been given for ppi last year :(. Can they do this? Has this happened to anyone else?

Be grateful for any replies.

Thank you.

They can't claw back a PPI redress payment in this manner. I suggest your father contact the Bank if he/you dispute the amount owed, but it won't be the PPI refund as that is his to keep.
