Senseo coffee maker £22.99 tesco direct

I have the older version of this coffee maker & I like it so much I'm getting this one in case it ever breaks down (had it over 8 years & fine so far) The pod's are available in most supermarkets, Lidl even do their own brand, it does say while stocks last so may not last long at this price http://www.tesco.com/direct/philips-senseo-hd786380coffee-machine-red/106-0796.prd?skuId=106-0796&fromRV=true

I bought one in November and we dont use it as it makes such weak coffee. This thread has prompted me to do something about it and I have just been chatting to Tesco who are sending out a replacement on the basis that mine is probably faulty. Excellent service Tesco 11/10

what a shame only in red - been after a bargain lie this for OH. Our kitchen is pink though - so won'y go

I have had great customer service from tesco & hope your new coffee maker is better.

I would prefer purple & there are some out there but they are mega expensive so we are lucky that the red won't look out of place in our kitchen.

Yes the Lidl pods are great for the Senseo machines, much cheaper than the branded Senseo pods and just as nice IMO. I think they were £1.69 last time I bought them, though that was a few months ago as I don't have a Senseo anymore.

We've got a senseo, the pads are £1.69 in lidl. They have 3 different types.
I've also been in family bargains today they had packs of 14 pads for 99p. They had several different ones.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my mum - can it dispense just hot water as well as using the pods? Also, is it a set amount of water or does it have a variable dial? If it is a set amount, does anyone know how much is dispensed please?

You can do just hot water.
Ours has a 1 cup and 2 cup setting. The 2 cup setting fills a denby mug perfectly.
