How weird! My mum, DS and DD and I were talking about ice cream floats on holiday last week. DS and DD didn't believe me when I told them that our ice cream floats would be made up of the remnants of two or three different types of fizzy drinks the nearer we got to the Alpine delivery man delivering the new order. It wasn't unusual for us to have cola/limeade/irn bru ice cream floats. Yum yum. American Cream Soda was the absolute best though."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Ooh! This does take me back to when my mum told my sister and I about a drink she had when she was young, and then made us a cola float! At the time I remember not really liking it, but it has grown on me since.
I think I'm going to have to give that a try tomorrow, although it really won't help me overcome my addiction to caffeine.
Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
When we were in Australia we kept seeing "Spiders" on the drinks menu! Thought it sounded horrible, but turned out to be an ice cream drink/float! You would think they could find a more appetising name for such a delight!0

I have just had a cola float. Three bottles diet cola from Morrisons for a £1 and their value ice cream I think 45p. Obviously not the greates thing for your teeth, but as an occasional and cheap treat, should be ok. Forgot how nice they were!
Tall glass of cola topped off with a big spoon of ice cream - luvverly.
ooh the memories - right, I am having one for breakfast when I get up!!:beer:0
