Change of seller ID suspicious?

I have been looking at some pearls on ebay. I would like to bid, but it is an inter nation al seller and they have changed their ID this month after having a very similar ID since 2012. Only reason I can think of s to hide previous feedback. Is there any way to check?

If you click on the symbol it will show the previous user name if changed in the past 30 days.

Oh thanks soolin. I really thought when you changed ID it started your account afresh, which was stupid of me really because it would be too easy to hide bad feedback.
