Johnsons Baby Wipes - Shelf Life?

The OH and I are expecting our first Lickle Oasisfeverish around 24th Jan 2008.
Am trying to get a little bit sorted in terms of bulk buying.
Do any of the parents out there now if Johnsons Baby Wipes have a shelf life?
Tesco's have them on BOGOF at the moment and with a code can get 10 packets of 64 wipes for around £6.50 delivered. Working out at 65p a packet instead of the normal £2.47. Even Tesco own brand are £1 for 80 wipes.
So would be ideal to stock up on these. One of our friends did a similar thing for nappies, and said it helped them out no end, they even spread out the sizes as to make them last longer.

Can I just say what if bubs is allergic to them and you have bought loads? I had to try different wipes with mine as some made them very dry (usually ones containing alcohol). I use Simple ones now that are always £1-ish in Wilko's or Home Bargains0

Very valid point.
Was thinking of only getting the fragrance free wipes to try and avoid that.
I guess I could always sell them on at half price £1.23, would still be better off than the 65p I paid for them.
Just need to really know, If I get them 6 months in advance, and they remain sealed and in a sealed container to avoid damp, etc. Will they still be useable?Financial Aims for 2012:

I don't have any Johnson's wipes going about but I looked on a pack of Tesco's own, and once opened they last for 6 months, so I assume it would be a lot longer if they weren't opened.0

We used to buy in stock and had no problems storing them for 6 months to a year! Assume they are prepared in sterile conditions so as long as they remained unopened and stored in a cool place can't see any problems with storage for some time

Thank jackieb & malcolm000,
Good job I have a few accounts with Tesco, can use the £10 of £25 to buy these now.
God knows what the delivery driver will think when a bloke keeps getting loads of baby wipes :rotfl: over the next month.Financial Aims for 2012:

i have to say my little girl cant use these, we are still on reuseable wipes or cotton wool with water. I think the best wipes for lack of chemicals are the huggies pure. As for shelf lifes i think they last a few yrs so dont worry about that

I personally would never use baby wipes on delicate baby skin (there is evidence to support the use of water only on newborn skin, I can find the reference if anyone is interested). I have used them in the past to clean felt tip off walls and toys that nothing else would touch so they must be full of chemicals that would damage a baby's skin!0

I agree you might want to wait to see what suits your baby, I got a bunch of huggies stuff, and it turned out my son was a pampers boy, I used cotton wool and water for a while then pampers sensitive wipes, then on to boots own when he had toughend up a bit lol. could you perhaps save up on a boots gift card or an asda savings card to have a fund rather than the actual products? these offers tend to come round again and again.0

My sister swears by Huggies wipes for her kids - the Soft Skin ones are perfect with no alcohol and shea butter which is a moisturiser and good for the skin. They smell quite nice too
- I have a pack myself for use round the house and I just checked them and theres no expiry date so I think you can buy in bulk now. 0 -
