I am sure there is another thread on this somewhere but I can't find it..

Why is the font different on the Magazine Dailies than on other regular threads?

The bold capitals is a killer on the eyes for me :mad:

No disrespect to Toniq who is doing a fantastic job :T

Toniq has spent lots of time and done loads of work on the new thread - there was lots of discussion here on the best layout to use, so it might be worth reading through that....

I said no disrespect to Toniq, it was just a personal opinion on the font.

I done the thread with input and tried my best to accomadate people with diff eyesight needs, I also needed to keep the titles short so less work and clearer titles for all.

I would venture to suggest that the font is different because the person doing all the work FOR FREE and FOR YOUR BENEFIT has, probably in consultation with others doing beneficial things for all of us, decided that the font will be like that. If I disliked the layout of anything enough to comment on it (which I wouldn't do unless I paid good money for it) then I'd first have to ask myself why I didn't go find the stuff for myself if I found the current situation tiresome or difficult in some way. But that's probably just me.

Again, with all due respect to the OP, I don't think it is always realised just how difficult/time consuming it can be to set up something like this.

Let's not forget everyone here volunteers their time and effort - if it is not right for an individual, there is nothing to stop anyone tracking down their own comps + answers:cool:

The brevity is great and much appreciated. I am already saving hige amounts of time every day with the direct links and am very grateful to Toni for taking this on.

It is possible to magnify the page if you find the font small - the short titles mean that you can do this without losing text from the side of the screen. I magnify by turning the scroll wheel on the mouse while holding down control, sure there are other ways as well that more clever people will point out!

Is it any wonder that people scared to post anything on the boards lately? There have been so many posts lately from people who are apologising for posting a question before they've even asked it, or asking people to 'be gentle' because they've dared to ask a question or venture an opinion, it's very sad to see.
