Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework
tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

After Dusty's Reception Room declutter last week, we are going back to normal flying for the week..

Thank you to Dusty for last week's thread :D

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

There are 3 levels per day deepening on how much time you have. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines/todailies are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

Thank you for the list. I am in, although I am still sorting the living room.
Slightly stagnated after taking tiny to her dermatology blood taking appointment in the week. I did carry on just at a very slow pace. I read everything though, which probably didn't help.
Tiny starts nursery tomorrow, although with me and then on tuesday and onwards without me. Part time for Feb and then full time in march. I'm going to miss her terribly and realise that she will be leaving high school soon while the big one is living in some far off land with her family. It will however allow me to fly better and get more work done.
Perhaps not tomorrow but from tuesday, after I have laid in the bath for an hour and perhaps had a nap ALL BY MYSELF.

Thanks for the list. I'm in but will also be finishing off the bedrooms ;) I'll sort a list in the morning while I have brekkie :D

I was going to go to the bank tomorrow, but I still have deliveries to make so I'll put that on hold until everyone has paid up (in theory by Wednesday) so I can pay it all in, in one go. ;)

I'm in. Thanks for the list Natty.

Bathroom not too bad after cleaning it when the workmen left on Saturday.

Will get the dailies done and want bedroom hoovered as the cat has got fur all over. Then off to my voluntary job.
  • Morning all

Welcome to Newbies and glad the fly meet went well yesterday.

I'm in - thanks for this week's thread Natty and for last week's Dusty.

Last week was a bit of a wash out so must get on!:o. Plan to do lowest level all week to give me time for more frog eating in the dining room!
That is taking lots of time mainly because:
    there is so much!
I keep having to stop and unblock the shredder
so much of the paper mountain is there because I have been unable to deal with it emotionally for years and it is bringing back memories I'd rather lay buried.

The good thing is that it is now lessening - in every way. Time is a great healer.

Have a great week everyone - sticks and spoons and hugs or hi fives to those in need.

Thanks for the list Natty, I'm in again this week. I sort of fell off towards the end of last week so hoping to do a bit better this week :o

In addition to today's list I need to:
    Pay nursery
    Put washing away
    Do a load of washing
Buy my friend some flowers for her birthday and drop them off (her hubby is away and she is hoping for some flowers from him, however knowing him I'm not sure so I'll get her some just in case!)

Will pop back after work x
