Online Car Boot

Hi All,

Don't know if you have heard of Online Car booty or if there is already a thread started.

Listing prices are cheap and no final value fees either. Think if more people got interested in the site it could be the new weekend ebay!

It is only open on a sunday from 3pm till midnight.

Just like a normal carboot sale there are bargains a plenty.

If you haven't already check it out - it's open till midnight tonight and you can list items right up until 2:30pm on a sunday afternoon before it goes live.

Yes we've heard of it notably because they spam everywhere out of desperation.

As we've discovered before it is way too expensive, might as well use eBay as there is a much wider audience and it is cheaper to list speculatively. Personally I wouldn't touch any site that was noted only for its spamming.

I had never heard of it until Friday evening, so thought I would share. Ive sold a few things on it today and there aren't any fees or anything except your table cost but you pay that at an actual carboot also.

There are the usual paypal fees for receiving funds but that's it. You can list upto 10 items for £3 I wouldn't say that's expensive depending on what your listing. If it's an expensive item then ebay bleed you with final value fees, so in that respect I think it's pretty good and a bit of fun on a Sunday too.

Exactly, list - not sell, 10 items for £3 , way too expensive.

So you heard of it friday, used it today and you now appear to think it's the greatest site going? I mean, you posted on an old thread about it then started a new one advertising it.

The "table" is a fee. It's a listing fee it just has a different name because of it being a carboot (without a car or a boot...). Online stall would really be a better name.

Yes, you pay at a real carboot but chances are there are more buyers, it's sold as seen with no problems and you're not limited to 10 items.

£3 for 10 items is 30p an item with no guarantee of a sale. More expensive than ebay. Plus you're limited to 10 items.

You still have a final value fee if you use Paypal, it's just the site doesn't take another fee as they've taken so much for a "table".

A bit of fun? Your idea of fun is clearly very different to mine because listing 10 items, paying £3 and waiting in hope doesn't sound much fun to me.

I posted on one of the other threads but it seems odd to me that with all the free selling pages and communities on Facebook that anyone would think it a good idea to do the same thing but charge for it.
