I'm not very good with computers so please don't be mean if this is something obvious or simple
I have put the Nectar browser/search bar on my computer today so I can collect extra points whilst browsing.
http://www.nectar.com/collect/nectar-search.points
I did have "explorer" and "chrome" browsers on my computer.
Since I have installed the nectar search thing I can't access "Chrome" it says "unable to access network"
then it says
"Google Chrome is having trouble accessing the network.
This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet.
Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
Error code: ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED"
I wouldn't mind but I really need to use Chrome as it's the only browser that works for the Royal Mail survey site as I send test items so need to get on there, can any one help?
Many thanks

Some AV software may detect the nectar toolbar as a trojan/logger. because well it is.
It collects your search results etc. I used to use it and went to install it again recently. But its seems to install far more than it used to. Although i chose not to install it to chrome, firefox etc. Only IE it installed to all of my browsers.
Well it would have if my fire had not blocked it.
Uninstall it.
Use another browser.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Did you install it on Internet Explorer? Delete it from Chrome and try it on IE and see if your Antivirus flags it then. If not, you can use IE for Nectar searches and Chrome for your Royal Mail surveys.
What antivirus are you using? You can add an exception so it accepts that you have installed the toolbar and are happy for it to use your network unrestricted.
To uninstall it, follow this link for Windows 7 http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Programs-(Windows-7). Alternatively if you look under the chrome preferences, you can disable the toolbar in the Extensions menu.0 -
I'm using Norton 360, originally that's what I was looking to do....just have it on Explorer but it's effected everything. It seems far more hassle than it's worth as half of the websites I go on it says "browser not supported" "get a modern browser" lol
I will follow the instructions to remove it, many thanksIf you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got...0 -
Personally, I would remove Norton 360 and replace it with a better Antivirus that isn't so restrictive out of the box.0
