credit card question ?

hi all

new to these forums after a suggestion to look here. I have tried a search but could not find anything to help with my question

I had a credit card before, its not active as it's been a long time since i have used it and I will need to re-apply, (I was working full time at the time I had the Card), now I don't have full time work now as I get carers allowance, I will apply but do you think I would be rejected because I am on the carer allowance rather than having full time work? I am going away for a break soon and would like a card for emergency use. thanks for any help.

How long since you have used it and do you have any confirmation it's not currently active?

If you still have the card and no confirmation it's closed it's probably still active, try it for a small everyday purchase and see.
