How to recycle turf into topsoil/compost

Hi,
Last year moved into a new house which has resulted in significant refurbishment. I am just in process of turning my sight onto the outside and have spent most of my sunday reclaiming the front gardens flower beds from the over grown and invading lawn.
I have dug 30+ wheelbarrows of turf (and moss covered topsoil).

I want to know is their a easy way to compost(treat) the turf to use the soil elsewhere in the garden without battling the grass(or its seeds) regenerating in this soil?

Put the sods upside down in a heap for 8 months. Keep well watered (so seeds germinate) then turn the heap over for two more months. Result is good, reasonably weed-free topsoil. For almost-completely-but-not-quite-weed-free, you need to do it for 18 months.... but in all honesty a six month heap will give a good result.

One high heap is best. Needs longer if full of perennial weeds (moss fies quickly and doesn't count). Clay soil needs longer too.

Yes upside down in a heap should do it , you will get a fairly good result with lovely soil.
