  • The non resident parent provides 15% of their income towards the child and the rest of the money should be provided by the resident parent, child benefit and tax credits.

    Anything over 15% is a bonus but not a legal requirement.

  • If the PWC is struggling to find the money for the school trip the school may be able to help with the cost depending on her circumstances. She should speak to the person organising the trip. It would also be worth talking to whoever organises the football training as there may also be help available for people who can not afford the full cost. I know that when my children did music lessons there were subsidies available in certain circumstances. Sometimes there are also small local charities that can help with such things, the library will have a list of local charities.
