I have a Windows 7 Disc that I have used before to install the OS but for whatever reason wont boot anymore. I have gone into the Bios setting and changed boot sequence to boot from disc but that doesnt seem to have worked. Any ideas on solution or way I maybe going wrong.

Are you trying to use it on the same machine as before?
If the computer is more recent (specifically if it came with Windows 8.0 or later) then it may not boot an older DVD/CD without changing some settings in the BIOS.0 -
Same machine as used before, nothing changed their. thanks0

Disconnect the hard drive and see if it boots.
If it does, then you aren't catching the message that says "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" in time.
If it doesn't boot from the DVD with the hard drive disconnected, then it's safe to assume the disc has failed (assuming you have the bios set up correctly to start with).Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

Just tried the above. I am writing off the disc route now and thinking maybe using a USB or external Hardrive which ever maybe easiest..Must admit I don't know how to install from an external hardrive which I have with me right now.0

You will need a working disc in order to create a bootable USB or HDD to do the install, so no point in that.Must admit I don't know how to install from an external hardrive which I have with me right now.
You can download a copy of Windows 7 in ISO format from here and use that to create a working bootable DVD if you like.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

You can if you like, Microsoft have a tool to let you do that hereThanks, can I put it onto USB stick as well?
You will also need to download the system drivers (chipset, video, audio, etc) again.
You can do that by entering your asset tag hereUndersteer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

I was able to convert the ISO to USB and it installed Windows 7 from the USB stick, however it seems that it re-installed the new OS but did not delete all the existing file which I wanted. So my 80gig hardrive shows 14gig only available. What do I need to rectify this so it deletes all the old stuff which must be sitting somewhere.0
