towed car in waltham forest/london

My wife went ran to her friends on friday, its a quiet residential street hardly no through traffic and wide enough to easily get through even if cars are parkedcboth sides. When she came out the car had gone. Turns out it was towed as one wheel was slightly on the kerb. It would not have caused any obstruction and unsure if the wheel was on the pavement. Two things I want to know if I request photographic evidence does this cost? And is this fair as I could go down loads of roads I this area anytime of the day and find hundreds of cars on the pavement but my wife was targeted and charged £265. This was the cohncil towing btw

thanks

I would recommend posting this on https://www.pepipoo.com as they are the experts on this, they will need to see a redacted scan of the paperwork you have, host it on tinypic. You should go all the way with this as you have nothing to lose. If they haven't given you an opportunity to appeal the PCN then that is one avenue that pepipoo will advise on
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I would also recommend that first of all, you search this pepipoo forum below for the keywords 'no-brainer' (with the hyphen) which is a phrase always used about appealing ANY Council towaway!

http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30 (keyword search box, bottom left)

You will find LOADS of successes, on pepipoo the posters almost never lose with a tow appeal written with the right arguments which you will find in other threads there. Then start your own with a more informed approach, and pictures of all documents received at the pound. PLEASE READ THE SEARCH RESULTS FIRST THOUGH AS IT'S A STRUGGLE TO ANSWER ALL THREADS FROM SCRATCH WHEN A BIT OF READING WILL HELP YOU. It really is a no-brainer as you have everything to gain back (including the PCN amount too). I post as SchoolRunMum on pepipoo but am not there much ATM.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
