Today I went to uni and spent £1.22 on a tea and a bag of crisps. Then went to shop on way home and bought milk and YS chicken. I took out £5 to put in a card for DD friends birthday so am over my budget, the total is now £107.98/£100
Yes I'm over budget but I not going to beat myself up about it. I have thought carefully about a lot of things I have been tempted to buy and refrained because of my budget so I know that I've done a lot better than I usually would have done! OH has even suggested a takeaway tomorrow and I've said no unless he's paying and I've said I'll cook something nice as we have friends coming over!

Need to start planning my budget for next week as I have a lot on!

That's why I find this thread so great! Instead of falling off the band wagon and going "what's the point, I'll just buy everything I want now given I've messed up anyway" you think "OK, that was last week, we're starting a new week now. Maybe I just need to be a bit more flexible with my budget".

It also makes you think about whether you really need something - I avoided going out to buy chocolate yesterday because of this!

So far this week I've spent £9.93 and only £3.08 of that was my spending, the rest was eBay fees. I will update with my totals later when Saturday is over. :)
  • Afternoon everyone
