Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. Until yesterday my home set up was working fine - linking my belkin router (gateway) with TPlink 901ND to extend the range. For some reason i lost the settings and now i am unable to connect to the internet using the tp link extender. without the extender its working fine and i am able to link the routers but am unable to get the settings right to extend the range.
I wonder if anyone can help? and suggest some settings?
Should i use repeater or universal repeater settings in the UK?
tp link security settings are set up the same as the main router.
My belkin router set up:
Security WPA2-PSK with AES encryption
IP address: 192.168.2.1 guess this is my gateway/??
My TpLink router
Same security as the belkin router
IP address 192.168.1.254
Gateway:192.168.1.2 (i am unable to set it to 192.168.2.1) as the belkin router
Im using repeater mode
As i say both routers are connected but i cannot get the internet. and it used to work fine but for some reason after 3 years it stopped working. Your help would be much appreciated. thank you

Suggest you go through the set up in the quick guide again.

I had a similar problem with my TP link as wifi extender (WDS bridge), I fully reset the TP link and then followed the wds setup process from scratch, that sorted itFriendly greeting!0

I have reset it many times and am sure i used either repeater or universal repeater but may give it a try... i follow the process but stil not connecting... i think it may be to do with the link router having the same gateway as the main router but not sure...0

all sorted now... apparently down to an expired firmware. downloaded a new version, set it up as a universal repeater... took 5 mins and all working fine...0
