What happened today

Switched on dell desktop.

Seemed to boot into safe mode vista.

Switched off, home page msn came up normal, but not with google search bar which is my preference but only with bing. I could not do a system restore. After another couple of switch offs everything has returned to normal.

Any idea why?

Sometimes Chrome has a wobbly, or something on your computer changes the search bar/engine. If you look at the Settings then scroll to "On startup" and put in the page you want opening on startup. Further down if you click on "Show home button" and there will be a "Change" next to it. Enter what you want your home page to be and Okay it. Then below that is your search engine default setter. Select which one you want to use, as in Google or Bing, or a few others. Come out of settings and press F5 to refresh and you should be good to go. Assuming you have anti-virus and adware/spyware blocker. :cool:
