  • I'm not too sure what I would be classed as?
I would be buying all my own food etc, pay half of the bills and pay any reduction he gets from HB.

    Is this allowed?
  • Hi

Sorry to drag this up again.
Circumstances have now changed and it looks like I will be living with a relative rather than the family friend.

We are both on the same benefits, ESA (support group, income based), DLA (mid care, low mobility.

I know normally my severe disability premium would stop (as would my relatives), but Ive read that as we are both on it, there would be an exemption so it would carry on being paid?

Will you and the relative be the only people living in the house? There are exceptions to this; but yes, that's right.

  • Yes it will be just me and them
  • Sorry just want to be clear on what I have read, the turn2us website says different to entitledto, but it asks different questions.

Would we both keep our severe disability premium?

I know if its a joint claim we wouldn't, but we are relatives, not a couple.

Just to make sure, otherwise its a loss of £120 a week which we really cant afford
