Open PVC pipe sticking out of garage floor.

I have a random pipe sticking out of my garage floor. It looks to me like a vent pipe for the drains.
Is anyone able to confirm what it is likely to be?

Could be anything, how about a photo.

My guess is it could be conduit for running wires through, but some context would be useful.

Have you tried shouting down it to see if there is anyone at the other end...

We have a drain vent in our garage but you can smell it if it's uncapped.

Tie something like a nut & bolt on a piece of string and lower it down to get an idea of how far it goes or if it gets wet.
Can you trace which direction it goes to see can you find the other end ?
