I'm in the process of changing my phone, my current one is android based and the upgrade will also be android based. Just wondered if there was an app for storing my contacts file to make it easier to transfer them from phone to phone?
Or is there an online facility that will do the same thing?

You can sync your contacts with your Google account. When you set up the new phone just sync it and all the contacts will appear.0

You can back up contacts and Wi-Fi settings and other data to Google servers, when you register your Google or g-mail address on the new phone the settings etc should transfer to it.
Works on 2.3 and upwards not sure about 2.2.
