E.ON Contract Cancellation Fee

After leaving E.ON recently I got my final bill yesterday.
I was on the energy discount v1 plan and the end of the contract year was 17/1/2014. On examining the bill, the closing reading date on both fuels was 18/1/2014. Looking at the bill carefully I noted they had charged me the contract cancellation charge of £5 on each fuel despite the contract having ended!
A call to the CS sorted it out after a long hold and they will refund this along with the small balance remaining in 7-10 days!
Suggest anyone else leaving this sort of contract with E.ON should check the bill carefully!

Really sorry about this but glad it's been sorted.
Just to repeat your warning. If anyone else comes across this problem, please let me know. It may have been a blip as the dates were so close together but, should it turn out to be a wider issue, I need to let our IT guys know.
