"Thank you for your email about your recent application for a contract with O2.
As well as our credit scoring system, we use business policies to assess all new applications. You didn’t meet our criteria so we were unable to accept your application.
As our business policies are commercially sensitive then I am unable to discuss the specific reason why we rejected your application.
On this occasion we have reviewed your application and we are able to override the automatic decline, which means you will be able to re-apply within the next 30 days, starting from today, and the decision will not be affected by what has happened previously. However you MUST use exactly the same details as on your previous application.
A new credit check will be completed. Please let us know if you need any further assistance."

Probably means that even though your credit score is okay, you didn't meet the demographic they want to lend to at the moment. What will your verse be?

It means that they won't give you a contract but you can reapply in 30 days.0

if you read the email clearly it invites me to reapply WITHIN the next 30 days. That is why I posted this thread. I do not understand why they refused me a contract but yet invite me to reapply by the end of February.0 -
I read that to mean that they would usually automatically decline any credit application made by someone who has been rejected in the last 30 days, but on this occasion they are overriding that automatic decline so that you can re-apply within 30 days.
I don't think it means you have to re-apply within that time. What will your verse be?

Only O2 can tell you what it means. Could be any number of reasons why you were declined0

If O2 decline you for a 24m handset contract they will do a monthly SIM only contract instead. Pay all your bills on time and they'll let you make it a full handset contract in 3-6m.0
