Yes I bought one last year. I found with the saving on booking fees and the money off certain dates for shows, I had made my money back very quickly. I plan to renew it this year when it runs out. I just buy two tickets at a time, if you buy for more people it would be more worthwhile.
I am fairly restricted in that I only go to matinees. If you are able to go to evening performances as well there are more savings to be had. Several shows I have looked at had reductions for ATG members for some of the evening shows.0 -
We got one in December for the half price panto tickets. We have two young children so can't afford to go to the theatre often but I figured if we just get one other half price booking in addition to the panto then it will pay for itself.
We have already booked two other shows in. One which wasn't discounted but they really wanted to see and another which was half price for the first day of the show.
So it has already paid for itself easily and I am sure I will renew next yr.0 -
Whether it's worth it or not depends on how often you go to the theatre.
I personally don't go often enough to make it worthwhile having one. I go pass the Bromley Churchill theatre on a regular basis so if there was something I wanted to see there I normally pop in and pay only face value price. Other shows I see aren't purchased through ATG anyway.0 -

I have had one for years and has saved me a fortune, especially as one of my local theatres is an atg venue and on many shows does 2-4-1 on opening night for members. Also you save a few quid on normal shows and do not have any booking fees added. Also the card is eligible in a number of venues in the uk and if you use the cloak room it's free, get discount on drinks etc.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
I've had this card for a few years. I was buying tickets for opening night of a show, each ticket was £40 but it was half price for ATG Card members. At the time you could buy the card and tickets in the same transaction, so it was cheaper to buy the annual membership and 2 tickets than the 2 tickets on there own. I don't think they allow this now though, I think you need to buy the card in advance and get your membership number to buy tickets.
Other advantages:- 10% off bar prices
- No booking fees on ATG shows
- No postage fees
- Priority booking before general sale
- Free cloakroom
- Discounts on opening nights - often 2 for 1, half price or £10 off
The card quickly pays for itself. I've just renewed and as give a special offer to renew by direct debit which made it even better value!0 -
I bought my card when I was buying some tickets. I phoned them up and they accessed my new card account and told me the card number over the phone. Then I could go ahead and get my tickets with no booking fees.0

I bought one a few weeks ago, so far I think it's great! Three of us chipped in and bought it between us, as we usually go to the theatre together. We wanted to see Ghost, and ATG had half price opening night tickets, so it was cheaper to get the card and the cheap tickets than just the full price tickets.
We've also bought tickets for another 2 shows so far, both half price. I try to go to the theatre as often as possible, and this means I can afford to go more often, and get better seats!
You also don't pay booking / postage fees, so it saves quite a bit there, and 10% off at the bar is nice
It's only useful for me though, as the theatres I go to most often are all part of the scheme, and I go at least a few times a year.0
