Npower Bill

I have been trying to get a correct bill from Npower for a month or so now. I have received a number of bills that don't make any sense. They also changed my DD amount to £5 last week, based on another bogus bill.
I therefore sat down and used the relevant formulae and usage data to work out what my current bill actually is, and whether I am in credit or debit. Having done so I have updated my direct debit to reflect the amount I should be paying.
But I would like to know if Npower will actually do this themselves and update my account so it stops saying I have a ridiculous credit on it, which I now know to be incorrect. Has there been any news on when their computer problems will actually be resolved?

I take it your question is rhetorical?
You are doing the correct thing - if the price is good for you then just monitor your meters and keep an eye on the approximate cost of your usage. You've been able to adjust your debit so you can sit by and see if personal jetpacks are out before the computer system is fixed.

What was wrong with the bills they sent out?
They usually correct a bill that has a mistake on it but the time scales for that can vary wildly.
Sometimes they will place a block on bills if there's an error, just depends on what it was exactly.
You can ask them to increase the DD to what you feel is a reasonable level if you want.
Good luck with that!Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080
