Moshi Monster movie

Right depending if I can convince my dad its a good idea, I am thinking of dipping in to some of my treat money and take my sister and the family to see the Moshi Monster movie for her birthday treat. Very MSE with cheap tickets. My question is though, is it good? I don't want to take her to it and it ruin Moshi Monsters for her.

  • It's ok and from an adults perspective, nothing special.
Saw it a few weeks ago and if i remember rightly it was like very cartooney....in that the moshi figures were flat and not 3d shaped
and the picture didn't seem as sharp as it could/should have been...(don't deffo quote me on this ...as i did fall asleep 3 times and may have missed bits !!! )

It's definately not in the leagues of Toy Story etc and when it comes out on dvd i wouldn't rush to buy it.

My little one didn't harp on about it for hours after as well.
Go and see it but please form your own opinions. I haven't painted the best picture of it but each to their own and that.

hope this may have been of some help.

Thanks. It is either this or Frozen if I can convince dad to take us. I just want to kinda make it a bit special as I had to miss part of her last birthday due to docs.

  • I think i have seen Frozen as well but not sure .....
Suppose it depends on who is her favourite ..... Frozen is a Disney film and is probably better than Moshi (which i don't think is)

Whatever you do , enjoy anyway.

ps...don't forget - depending on what cinema is near you - they may have
kids films on cheap of a Saturday morning. ....very MSE

I echo this, having taken my 10 nearly 11yo daughter to see it last week.

How old is your sister though? If she's still at the moshi monster mad stage she may enjoy that too. I haven't seen it as daughter outgrew moshlings around a year ago.

I would chose Frozen over Moshi Monsters without a doubt.

Frozen all the way! An excellent film; my DD, who is nearly 9, can't wait for it to come out on DVD release so in the meantime she's watching the songs via YouTube. A great story and soundtrack.
