Ipad repair - NW

I have an Ipad that I have stupidley managed to break off the headphone socket in it.

Can anyone reccommend a good person to repair in the North West England area please - ideally near Crewe.

Apple want too much money :( I'm not a rich girl

Thanks

Try a matchstick with a blob of superglue on the end
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

I assume you've broken the headphone plug, leaving part of it in the socket? If not, what happened?

How much of the headphone jack is left in the socket? As mentioned, there's a variety of ways to remove it, one of which is to superglue something to the plug, and extract when the glue has cured.

An alternative might be a specific metal adhesive, assuming the exposed area of the plug is the metal shank.

You may be able to grasp it with a very fine pair of pliers.

OP, if you are not confident to do any of the above yourself, then any decent local independent computer store will probably be able to do it for you for just a few pounds. If you can't get a reccommendation for one, then just pick an established one.
