Free boiler Scheme - anybody experience any problems?
Hi Folks
Has anybody qualified for a free boiler under the government scheme, based on their household income/benefits?
I got a Vaillant boiler installed by Northern Gas, in December 2012. It was a like for like - a straight swap over for my very old boiler. Anyway, the annual service was due in December 2013. I rang up Northern Gas who said I need to ring up Vaillant because they do the first service free of charge. I rang Vaillant who said they do not offer free servicing and that they charge £66. I then rang back Northern Gas who said No, Vaillant should be offering a free first service. No one is prepared to put me through to any managers to whom I can speak, and I feel that I am being pushed around.
Had anybody else experienced this? What would you advice that I do next?
