Hi All
Just wanted a bit of advice . I took out a few buy to let mortgages with lloyds tsb 8 years ago. as part of the deal i was strongly pushed into buying life insurance and critical illness insurance with scottish widows.
I was made to feel it was almost a condition that i had to take out critical illness and life insurance to get the mortgages.
I took out 3 policieswhich im still paying .
Just wondered if this would come under the ppi complaints .
any advice welcome
thanks

Right, so that statement verifies you were not mis-sold on the advice process. So that is good.Just wondered if this would come under the ppi complaints .
life and CI plans are not PPI. Totally different products and Lloyds retailed them differently as well. Life & CI was done under an advice process using an individually regulated individual and PPI was done under a sales process using an unregulated individual.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
