Home Insurance

Hi,

I began home insurance for a rented property in June with Bradford and Bingley. In August I bought a house and for a few reasons I bought homeowners insurance with another company.

I had thought I had cancelled the original insurance on the rented house but I have just found out for the last 5 months I have been paying monthly for the insurance on the old rented property.

I have now cancelled the old insurance but does anyone know how I go about reclaiming the insurance paid on the rented property?

Thanks

You can't reclaim it. Your best bet is to write a polite lettering explaining the mistake and hope for a refund as a gesture of good will, they are not obliged to just refund it if you ask.

Also, how did you buy insurance from Bradford and Bingley last June? They dont exist anymore and were rebranded into Santander 4 years ago.
