I don't know about United but viagogo is where city season ticket holders can sell tickets for matches they are not attending. It is a above board agent, the buyer buys the ticket at set price plus a admin fee. I like it as the game I buy gets automatically uploaded to my city access card.

I would suggest looking into whether it's possible to sell it on via them.

Enjoy the holiday, at least you won't get to see your team thrashed!
