in Credit cards
Hi all
There have been previous posts on this topic but most seem a couple of years old and don't cover my specific circumstances.
I'm about to book a rental cottage for a few nights away. The owner takes payment either by BACS or Paypal. I'd like to pay by paypal and stick it on my 0% rate credit card but wondering anyone has had experiences of doing this (i.e. non corporate, non-ebay seller) and whether it would be considered a cash advance?
My understanding is that the owner will request payment by raising an invoice through paypal, rather than me transferring money directly to them (although I'd be grateful for thoughts on transferring money both ways).
Thanks very much

If they do it via a PayPal invoice it will charged to your card as a normal purchase.0

It'll be a purchase, but note that Section 75 protection will be affected as you are not paying directly.0

I think you'll be covered by paypal for their time period (45 days?) but you con't be covered by your credit card because your cc company are paying paypal and not the people renting out the cottage.0
