    Or Hargreaves Lansdown!
Provided you never want to leave again. What about low cost brokers with no account or ISA closure fees such as SVS?

Thanks Rollinghome. The HL comment was largely tongue-in-cheek given their announcement today. I did however look at SVS and the similar X-O, but thought TD Direct had the edge because it gave the option of funds, even if not planned at this stage.

I think inertia wins the day for now and I'll wait a while. The only issue is if I buy more ITs with Best Invest any time soon, it just ends up costing money to move them. At £50 p.a. custody fees, I might not bother.

    No.

Available: VFEM, VHYL, VUSA. VWRL, WUKE. VGOV.
    Not: VAPX, VJPN, VEUR.

Data comes from trying to place orders on BI. Their official list isn't complete but they are good at adding ones that people request. These make the system but not always the list.
That's a shame. If they had VAPX and VJPN I would probably switch my funds to these and stick with BI. Looks like I'll have to move after all.

ISTR that they have listed ETFs in the past when people have asked them to. Worth a try?

Thanks for suggestion. They said these two should be set up next week! Just need to do a bit more research on ETFs, as these will be my first, but this looks like a good solution for me.

    Well done.

If they also had VEUR then it's the full set, I think.

I have a IFSL Bestinvest growth portfolio acc multi asset fund with them that I add £600 a month to and been doing this for years now so it has grown into a nice nest egg. This is done as an ISA package.

Now according to the website the current TER of this is 2.29% of which 1.5% is the annual management charge so not sure what the other 0.79% is- answers please on a postcard.

But besides that with this new pricing structure what is the TER going to be on this fund now? Instead of 1.5% amc will it be 0.4% so reducing the TER to 1.19%?

the TER @ 2.29% will 1.5% + 0.79% for underlying funds that it invests in.....................

I am surprised if their MAP funds are dropping 1.19% - that is really quite good - are you sure there isn't a management charges and 0.4% platform charge?
  • Are Bestinvest particularly slow at executing fund sales and making the money available?

I placed orders to sell my tracker funds yesterday morning, (to switch to ETFs) and this evening they are all still showing as pending. Meanwhile I am out of the market on a day when FTSE is up 100. And tomorrow?

    Any thoughts?

They can show pending for a wee while as they need to get back notification but the trades will have been done.

It can work either way in just the same way as cash transfers between platforms can.
