Debts incurred - reasons? :S

Me again

When you have to state what your debts were for, what do people put down on their credit cards? Generally I guess I just lived beyong my immediate means, and kept buying food, tolietries etc etc, although I boggle at how can I possibly explain about 14K on those kind of things? :S I did go on holiday once and my botched emigration for about 1.5 K (long haul flights) , but the rest of it I have wasted horribly!! And have nothing to show for it (most of the clothes went when we were homeless.).

I am in so much trouble, but hanging onto the thought I'm not going to jail, no matter how much I stuck my head in the sand :o

Suggest you put down various and general day to day living expenses, when you have the OR interview they will ask about this but they will also help you piece together an answer.
Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 88

I was, and still am, a little stuck on this one,

funnily enough it's the small debts I'm struggling to explain: I have a loan for £14k which was used for consolidation and to buy my car, then theres an overdraft for £150 which I can't think what to put my reasons for! Plus like you said, credit card mine is £3k and I'm struggling with that one what to put.

When is you BR date pixe?

When I can find the money Claire lol - want it TODAY, but just need that damn money first. Sure it will turn up somewhere, am looking into those trust fund things and will beg lots. Or auction my belly button fluff on Ebay

It's shocking how much money I am able to waste on nothing. Bad Pixie. But never again, have to say my attitudes to money have changed SO much, am a model money person now. (Or will be if I ever have any again lol).

Many thanks for the help guys :D

Pixie, I'm not sure about this so don't quote me, and check with people on here first who will know better than me, but if you have a credit card with any funds left I think this can be used towards the cost of bankruptcy.

I'm sure I've read this somewhere on this site, but like I said I'm not 100% sure if this is correct (this is, of course, assuming that you have any spare funds on credit cards) and I would hate for you to do something to get you into any sort of trouble so please please check this out.

Maybe someone on here can advise??

LOL I wish - no payments made on *any* debts for about 2/3 months now, so not a chance of getting it paid with them. I'll get it, even if the belly button fluff scheme fails - I live positively taking positive steps to reclaim my life and put right my mistakes....

Pixie do you have any bank charges to reclaim?

Maybe reclaim those and use that (not sure how long this would take tho, might be better with the belly button fluff scheme!!)

Probably a few thousand with the pants way I manage my finances Claire, but a) would take forever, and as b) I am *the* unluckiest person in the world* I bet I would be one of those that doesn't get any. (hmm, positivity has gone briefly lol)

I'm sure you would! But yes I would assume that it would take a long time to claim them back.

How about (and I have a feeling I may get shot down for suggesting this BUT IT'S JUST A SUGGESTION!) can you up the credit limit on any of your credit cards/overdrafts or even take out a new one just for the money you need to cover your BR?

Like I said just a suggestion and again take advice from those in the know! (please no one shout at me for this)..........
