Administration & Document Fees when you take a car on personal/business contract hire
I have queried from one of these companies offering personal and business car contract hire and they say to me there is a fee of £175+VAT when you apply for one.
They are not dealerships eg Ford, Renault so how can they ask me for administration and document fees.
Are these fees justified??

It doesn't really matter
If you think the total cost to get the car is too much, go elsewhere, don't get too tied up with how they break the costs down and what they call various fees, just look at the total cost of the car for the hire period.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

Will look elsewhere as suggested. I can see most of them have not got these fees except the one I chose which was Vehicle Contracts Ltd.
I've done a further search and it is best to buy direct from Ford, Renault and Nissan and they will help with leasing, PCP, HP to avoid these administration and document fees from agent like Vehicle Contracts Ltd which seem to be the only agent in UK charging that fee when I asked several other agents who do not.0 -
There is a court case against Vehicle Contracts Ltd for the refund of administration and document fee and the hearing is on 6 March 2014.0

Vehicle Contracts Ltd has lost the court case and was ordered to refund the administration fees back to the claimant.
If you have paid administration fees you may have to check if you have a case for a refund0
