Maestro Card acceptance

Hi. I'm looking into getting a prepaid credit card. The two alternatives appear to be either Maestro or MasterCard. I understand that Maestro is owned by MasterCard, and that MasterCard has bought the Switch Debit card company. My question is this:
Can I use a Maestro prepaid credit card where the Switch symbol is displayed?
Are there users out there that have had success using their Maestro credit cards online, where the switch symbol is displayed? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Obviously, if Maestro card acceptance is not very good, then I'd be better off going for a MasterCard prepaid credit card. I would prefer a Maestro card as the terms seem more favourable to my usage of the prepaid card.
TIA

If it's any help now, Google checkouts have just stopped accepting Maestro
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
