Hi Parked my car at Northallerton station for 4 days. Parked on a Monday. However the station car park refuses to accept credit cards. So as normal was planning to pay once i was on the train by phone. I forgot. I did remember on Wednesday and paid for 4 days promptly (So Apcoa were not out of pocket). My employer reimburses me for my parking costs - so I had nothing to gain. However when I returned to my car on Thursday evening I found a APCoa Parking Charge Notice. I ignored it. I have subsequently received Apcoa notice to keeper. Planning to send the below letter. Is this the right course of action.

Dear Apcoa,
We want toappeal your invoice TPExxxx at Northallerton car park on the 26/11/2013. With reference to the above parking charge notice that was issued to my wifeas the registered keeper on the 10th January 2014. We would like to draw your attention to thefollowing facts:-
1. The vehicle was parked in Northallerton station for 4 days from Monday 25thNovember 2014, to Thursday 28th November 2014.
2. As again you car parking meter refused to accept credit cards, thedriver photographed the sign at the station, with the intention of paying theparking charge by telephone.
3. The driver subsequently forgot to pay the parking charge immediately, but did pay it on Wednesday 27th January 2014, at approximately7am. The driver paid for a total of 4days. The amount paid was £16.30. The vehicle this payment was made for is NV13XXX. The amount paid was usingaccount 0780xxxxxx (registered mobile number). The amount was intentionally paid for 4 days to ensure APCOA were paidin full for the parking charge and had suffered no losses
4. We have train tickets to verify the above dates (travel out on the 25/11and return on 28/11) – attached to the end of this e-mail.
5. The amount paid fo car parking was reclaimed from the driver’s employer,so they had no benefit in evading this payment.
As a result of theabove evidence, APCOA have not sufferedany losses and contributed to this error in your pay meter refusing to acceptcredit cards. Hence, we require that youcancel this invoice immediately. If you reject our appeal, we require a poplaverification code within 35 days of the date of this appeal, per the BPA codeof practice.
To demonstrate the factthat your pay meters refuse to accept credit cards, I tried to pay for parkingat the same car park on the 26th January for £11.60 for 3 days. The meter rejected the card, but I did payfor parking by telephone within 30minutes using the same card. "
