Parking Ticket

Hi all, wondering if you could help. I live in a gated apartment block in sheffield with an allocated parking space. I don't have my own vehicle but last work due to unsociable working hours I was allowed to take home a company car. It was late, I was tired so I parked in my allocated space and ignored the signs about displaying a permit. Any how I got a ticket for 100 fine, which to be honest I don't really wana pay. It's my space and it doesn't say anywhere in my tenancy about a permit etc. so legally where do I stand?

As stated a couple of posts above yours, you start your own new thread, but not until you have read the Sticky Thread for Newbies near the top of the page.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not at any point say who the driver was, tell your employer the same thing. Tell your employer first, then read the Stickies, then come back for further advice.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I have asked the forum staff for these posts to be split into a new thread
in the meantime , read this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
also, you did not get a fine as it wasnt a court or a judge that did it
its a parking charge invoice for not following the "rules" for parking by some jumped up PPC who place their "rules" over and above residents rights , possibly caused by the management company employing them0 -
