Speeding fine
Wife got caught speeding given a yellow slip saying traffic offence report. This was 8th dec. says they are doing an initiative seeking to educate not prosecute. She gets letter today's dated 25th jan about incident and that she can attend course etc, take points or contest. It seems there's a 14 day rule but not sure if this was served at the time of incident or the recent letter. She's happy to go to the money making sorry 'education' session but can we contest under the 14 day rule?

The 14 day rule for receiving a notice of intended prosecution doesn't apply if you are stopped and cautioned at the time of the offence so your wife's best bet is to take the course.0

It's actually informed that they tend to start proceedings against you, which they did when she was given the traffic offence report.0 -
