Ignore threatening letters?

Having read the NEWBIES advice & watched the video I am slightly stronger in ignoring the PCN my car received. However, the advice says to write assertively to the supplier of the notice. The enforcement officer at the relevant Scottish local authority told me not to reply (esp with name & address) as they have you hooked. The basis of the defence is that they cannot prove I have entered a contract for their non maintained land with no barriers, bollards, lines or entrance to doors or loading bays. The signs are dubious even although the company is registered with the British Parking Association. Against your advice I'm tempted to throw out the ticket (as told others do for this site) as it will be looking at me making me nervous! Can you give me strength to ignore the threatening letters?

The advice about Scotland in the Newbies thread does NOT say to write at all to the PPC but certainly you can complain to the retailer (if that's what you mean). These posts from you and me will be moved onto the off-topic discussion thread, because this sticky isn't for case discussion.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
